{the fine print}
Payment
Payment in full is due before I begin your blog design. You will be billed through an e-mailed invoiced from Paypal. If you have not paid within 7 business days, you will be removed from the waitlist.
Refunds
I am happy to send a refund (minus the paypal fee) if you are on the waitlist and change your mind before I start working on your blog. Once I begin working on your blog design there will be no refunds made. If you do not like what you are seeing we will work together to create something you love.
The Waitlist
You are welcome to check the waitlist to see when I will next be available. I try my very best to stick with the dates on the list, however from time to time I may be ahead or behind.
Completion Time
Typically, I will take a blog from start to finish in 7-10 business days. However, if you are slow at responding to emails or ask for numerous revisions it can take longer.
Platforms
I work with both Blogger and WordPress. If you need an Etsy design package or social networking imagery for Facebook or Twitter I can work with you on that as well.
Image Hosting
I will ask you to set-up a Photobucket account in your name with a temporary password for my use. This will enable you to host your own blog images.
Copyright
As a designer, it is of the upmost importance to me to abide by all copyright laws. Therefore, I will not use any images or fonts that are not designated or purchased for commercial use. If you have a scrapbooking kit, font, or image that you specifically want incorporated that is not designated as commercial use, I will have you purchase it. In addition, all images that are used on your blog are still copyrighted to me, as designer. You do not have permission to give away, sell, or change these images without my approval.
Fonts
I will only use commercial use fonts, purchased fonts, or open source fonts such as Google Web Fonts in the images I create. In Blogger, you may chose from any of the 405 available Google Web Fonts. For WordPress users I will install Google web fonts, Typekit fonts, or any open-source fonts. WordPress users who request a specific font that requires a commercial license will be asked to purchase that font and webfont license at their expense.
Image Purchasing
There is a $5 allowance for image purchasing. Beyond that the client will be billed. Images that clients will be billed for will only be purchased with the clients consent.
Reply Time
Please understand that I am located in the Atlantic/Caribbean time zone. I will reply to all general emails within 48 hours of receipt. During the time I have designated to work on your blog, the response time will be much quicker- often immediate. To ensure a quick design and installation of your blog I would ask that you check your email frequently while we are working together. I reserve the right to begin other projects if your response time is very slow.
Revision
It is extremely important to me that you are happy with your new blog design. I am committed to dialoguing with you about the design of your blog and am happy to make several revisions. However, if the revisions become excessive I will give you a clear warning and then begin to charge you at an hourly rate of $25/hour.
Installation
Your blog will be ‘under construction’ for several hours while I install the new design. We can decide together what will be the best time for installation. On occasion, certain widgets will not work with your new design. You are responsible to back up a html copy of your original template and widgets. After the installation and final ok, I will charge hourly for any additional revisions or site maintenance.
Alteration
You will be able to fully customize your sidebar widgets and pages once I am finished. I am also happy to help organize and simplify your current sidebars during installation. You may not alter or change the design in any way without my permission, as it is a reflection of my work. Please notify me if you are going to change your design so that I can remove your links from my portfolio.
Credits
My logo will be installed on the sidebar of your blog. It will be made to coordinate with your new design. I will also install a copyright bar located at the footer of your blog to protect both you and myself. These logos are not to be removed or changed in any way.
Portfolio Use
I may make a blog entry showing off your new design, and/or include a screenshot and link in my portfolio section, unless you ask me not to.
